Anger Management

In today's class, let us learn together about this emotion called Anger.

Vethathiri Maharishi and almost all the saints give great deal of importance in handling/managing Anger. Anger is a destructive or negative emotion that destroys the self and everything in the surroundings just like a fire would destroy its origin and all the surroundings that it can reach. This is depicted in great tamil saint ThiruValluvar's poem says

Sinam yennum Serndhaarai Kolli Inam
yennum YeMa punayai chudum

Why anger is negative or destructive?

Because it is highly emotional state where the individual loses his awareness or consciousness and is taken over by the rush of destructive thoughts. So, this state ALWAYS leads to do things that one would REGRET later.

Also, anger is energy leakage. It wastes the precious biomagnetic energy that is the source of energy for all our physiological functions like physical movement, 5 senses, thinking, decision making etc.
The human body is made up of billions of cells which are in turn made of life energy particles. The rotation of life energy particles creates a magnetic field and each cell clings onto another because of this biomagnetism. Anger makes the energy particles rotate faster causing the gap between the particles to increase and there by the bio magnetism within the body weakens. This creates diseases in nervous system, heart, respiratory system and attacks the immunity. All the disease in body originates when the biomagnetic pressure inside the body decreases.

Based on the extensive analysis done by saint Vethathiri, one shows most anger against the loved ones in the family or friends circle. This will cause lot of problems for the family peace which is essential for happiness.

Solution: Following steps are the solutions offered by yogis to neutralize anger

1. Keep the mind calm by maintaining a low frequency mind either by chanting, meditation, satsang

2.  Practice the interaction with closed ones or loved ones ahead of time and prepare your reaction. Rehearse it mentally and stay calm when the actual situation unfolds

3. Capture all the anger related experiences, analyze the experiences carefully when you are in a calm state, find the corrections needed in your behavior to handle similar situation in future.

4. Anger is diluted by time. so buy time. when you get angry, do not react immediately. Take a long time to react, shift your focus to something that you like and  come back to the situation at a later time.

5. Once you get angry, that anger habit is registered as magnetic imprint in the body cells, brain cells and biomagentic energy. once the imprint is formed, the same habit is repeated again and again.

6. The greatest solution is being aware, being conscious especially when you are in a situation where you might get angry. awareness creates space and protects you from the ill effects of anger.

Homework Exercises:

1. Write a story about one of the saints or spiritual teachers related to ill effects of anger

2. You may write about ideas to manage anger

Family Peace

A burning need of the hour is family peace because the manifestation of an individual's internal conflicts erupts in the family, causes havoc inside the family and later in the society. Science can be applied in big way as the progress made about study of eccentricities in human behavior is enormous. Let us review the 5 ways in which love can be expressed within family. love is universal healer of past wounds which often flares up and creates more mess. unconditional love and intention to heal are two great elixirs for physical and emotional wounds as expounded by Professor Ravindran. Please read the 5 languages of love in the article below to apply within family.

OM chanting

We need to understand more about the vibration aspect. what is vibration or energy?

Is this the rhythmic motion of atoms that constitute a physical object?

Is this the intangible, invisible motion of waves that can be felt but not seen or touched?

Is this the dance of fundamental energy particle that pervades through all the objects around us and within us including every organ of our body?

If yes, then how to get into that vibration at will and stay there at will.

I guess the penance done by the great order of monks who walked the planet before us gives a clue. It takes us from the mere pain/pleasure vibration of atoms that we experience in our day to day life to the divine vibrations that is in RESONANCE with the vibration of atoms within the nature around us - the
vibration of trees, river, mother earth, birds, clouds, space, planets, stars. There is a sound that is silently produced by this holy vibration - the sakthi - dynamic motion of the holy force, the plenum - our great saints found that to be OM! May be by repeatedly chanting this sound we can cleanse our souls and transcend our earthly vibrations to holy vibrations - the nature's vibration - the vibration of particles in sun, moon, earth etc.

Mind moves from attached state to almost no mind state there by receiving this energy juice from holy mother, when you chant. Ego surrender is easy in this state. instead of analysis, argument and reasoning out, experiencing the bliss is better and quicker. It is like jumping into the rushing water fall and getting mesmerised and lost in its grace, power, purity and freshness. words only spoil the actuality of the experience. music could lead there also. it could be the reason for the myriads of poems written by these divine diviners. For the people in the ego circle (identification with the body and I), all the activities by the 'divine possessed' will appear crazy as the energy planes are entirely different.

It is like the indian guy who got lost amidst a greek wedding. the customs are different, language is different etc. Ego never surrenders - Ravana is the best example. he lost everything - his best soldiers, army, brothers, country, fame,
but could never accept his fault and surrender to truth. even after he was given a chance in battlefield to go back and come the next day "Indru poi nalai vaa".
Let us chant then.

Neville Goddard Thoughts

Feeling intensely with all your senses what you intend to be - doing this quite often in Thuriya position when you are completely relaxed - especially before you go to bed and immediately after you wake up from bed. This is needed for the manifestation of your desire. you can experiment with this. This is exactly same as Vethathiri Maharishi's Iyalbooka Niyathi.

It should be done effortlessly. The dream should be chosen carefully. The words to trigger or remind the dream's feeling should be chosen carefully. It should be repeatable, consistent and natural.

I AM - the feeling

Divinity resides inside the human body - divinity is internal to the body. body is the temple that carries this divine current that is same as the supreme intelligence that created/manifested and maintains this great universe with billions of galaxies. you can relate to the biomagnetism  and universal magnetism concepts of SKY (Jeeva Gaandham and Vaan Gaandham). In understanding this concept lies the secret of equality among humans, compassion for living beings as the supreme intelligence runs as a continuous current between all the living beings.

All we need to do is sit in a silent place on a daily basis , calm oneself and focus on the divine current that is flowing through entire body. The current is biomagnetism( jeeva gandham).

random musings - resistance to change

There are some words/phrases in vocabulary which seemingly gives comfort but traps you in mud hole. These words and the associated feeling are beautiful baits to hook you and pull you out of winning pool. Some of them are settled, comfortable, known zone, let me think about it, too old, too late, should have, could have, would have, few more minutes of sleep, will do from tomorrow, it is ok etc.

Character is built out of every small repeative things that we do daily like brushing the teeth, shower etc. Every penny saved and earned builds the financial character. Every penny spent that could have been saved is one small step towards negative financial character.  Embracing the change to upside, outside of known zone, to explore the unknown, with the unseen hand of divinity protecting and guiding, with trust on the self and habit of digging deep in times of uncertainty, thriving on the challenge, always adds more tools for permanently establishing winning character. The purpose should be so clear and distinct, so important that little comfort should not stop the pursuit of the purpose. power is in the present moment. no moment is more sanctimonious than the present moment. No moment promises more success than taking one small step in the present moment.
Also, being in the thick of the present is critical - a good illustration would be to feel the excitement, adrenalin rush and focus you had when you drove a car for the first time. Every time you drive, if you can relive that feeling, all your drives will be emotionally refreshing and safe. This applies to job, marriage, kids, school, friends etc. Test it out. The past records/judgement deleted completely on a daily basis or as soon as the concerned event is over creates fresh approach towards a person or problem. Every time, approaching a person or problem with fresh blank record, with no judgement, gives enormous access to areas of solution. you can swim into solution without resistance.

Repealing Fear and Mental Blocks

I want start to start this article with the great tamil poem 'Thirukural' by saint ThiruValluvar.

'Vella thanaya Malar NEEtam MAAndhar Tham ULLa
thana Yathu Uyarvu'

Meaning of this poem is as follows: In a pond where the lotus grows, the height of the lotus stem is decided by the level of the water in the pond as the flower always blossoms on the water surface,  no matter how deep the pond is. Similarly, the altitude that can be attained by any human being is decided by the height one sets for his/her self in the mind.

The fear thoughts are randomly generated and constantly meddle with the constructive initiatives one takes. Generally, fear thoughts are baseless and meaningless but may be originating from negative experiences recorded in mind long while ago possibly in young age or could have been hereditary recorded in the family for generations.  Becoming conscious of these fear thoughts or acknowledging the presence of these thoughts would be the first step in dealing with them. Then, in a meditative state or calm state of mind, observe the mind to go deep and find the cause for the specific fear thought. If an experience is revealed, repeal that experience in mind by mentally replaying the experience and recording desired output instead of actual negative result that might have happened. This will superimpose the actual experience and record the repealed experience in sub-conscious mind.  Continuous observation of the thoughts and moving into still mind mode also shows the shallowness of fear thought thereby weakening the same. Affirmation of positive thoughts verbally with the feeling in front of a mirror early morning or periodically will continuously weaken the fear thoughts and mental blocks. It helps to have a write up of carefully worded affirmations and use it effectively like flash cards. Planting the seeds of positive thoughts, imaging and mental experiences helps in weeding out the fear thoughts as the life energy resources spent on negativity reduces, cutting out the supply for fear thoughts. Also brisk physical activity increases the blood circulation, mind alertness and thereby the consciousness on the body - this in turn reconfigures mind away from fear thoughts.

A deep rooted thought: Bridge between dream and reality

A strange thing happened to goinda. he woke up at 4 am on sunday, attended a conf call. Then he made a promise to attend the 8 am in-person meeting. after the 4 am call he went to deep sleep. In the dream, he was anxiously getting ready to go somewhere and his mind was telling it is 10 am on friday and it is late to go to office. so goinda was really confused because somewhere a deep rooted thought in unconsciousness said that cannot be true because just few min ago I promised to attend the 8 am sunday meeting in person. there is no way that i would have slept through the 8 am meeting. This argument goes and his deep thought pushes him to go and check the clock. goinda's heart beat increases, anxiety increases and his mind moves from "no mind" / deep sleep/dream state to anxiously waking up state to get to the bottom of " what day is it today?" and "What time is it now". This wakes up goinda from deep sleep and he check clock to find it is 7.40 am on sunday. The deep thought deliberately rooted in the mind, rooted so deep that it entered unconscious mind and it works when the mind ceases to exist in deep sleep/dream state - it is strong enough to disturb and close the dream, wake up the body, create urgency, anxiety and orders brain to wake up and look at clock. this is amazing.

There are many miracles happening within us that we are unaware of. Mounam or silence in which we observe the march fast of the thoughts without participating in them brings to light these great miracles.
Louise hay seminar had a feedback from a woman who wanted a vaccuum cleaner and a type-writer. This sudden thought came to her when she was driving the car and she was bewildered how these 2 unrelated things can come out of the blue and bother her. She takes a wrong turn and goes to dead-end of a street where she finds an old man selling these 2 unrelated things for free and offered them to her. I guess we just have to keep testing the power of the thought by planting one precise thought very very deeply and re-enforcing it. once we are done with that we should start planting the next thought. This thought stuff combined with the emotion stuff can create miracle. more research should be done on this for consistency, repeatability etc.
